My Disney Homepage "Dolphy`s Disney Den" is finally back online!I`m really sorry that it was off for so long but here`s what happened :
At the beggining of December I got a mail from Freenet.de ( the site where I`ve hosted my homepage ) that I had reached the limit of my downlaod-traffic.That means too many people where downloading too many of my pictures and I was told to delete the files which were responsible for the immense downloads.Otherwise they would deny access to my site ( what they did). But since it would be kinda stupid to delete all the art of an art-site I had two choices : Either pay for the exceeding of the traffic-limit ( which costed a lot of money! ) or move to another provider.I opted for the second solution and decided to move to United Domains. So I sent a written notice to Freenet.de that they should cancel my homepage since I wanted to move.Taibu ( a friend of mine ) let me put my site on his server and gave me as much webspace as I need ( so I won`t have to delete old pics when I upload new ones like I had to do in the past). But the biggest problem was that I wanted to keep my url "www.dolphys-disney-den.de". As I said, I wrote to Freenet but got no response. After some weeks I sent them an E-mail asking whether they had gotten my letter or not and it took some more days until I got the message that they had recieved it.They told me that I had to sent a so called "KK-Antrag" to United Domains, a confirmation that I wanted to move my domain to them. Then U.D. had to sent that confirmation back to Freenet and wait for their confirmation so they could transfer my domain. And "this letter and confirmation-war" lasted over 2 months. >_<

Commissions closed indefinitely
I am sorry to disappoint everyone who has been waiting for a commission from me, but I have been hired by a client to work for him and next to that I do some work for other clients' projects on a more or less regular basis. I want to use the weekends for my personal art and already had to reject people who had asked for a commission, planning to officially open them again once I wouldn't be swamped with work. But work is constantly arriving ( which is of course good for me since I have a steady income ) and I just can't handle any extra load on top of that. At this point I can't say when commissions will be open again. The project I am hired for will take the entire year, but the client has already planned something new afterwards. Sorry, guys, but I just have two hands and a limited amount of time and creativity. ^^"
Don't fight racism with racism
Imagine someone said that young black women have no right to criticize „men's movies“ like „Fast and Furious“ or „Transformers“. The outcry would be huge. But if they say grown white men have no right to criticize „kids' movies“ ( basically anything animated or from Disney ) whatsoever it's alright. Why? You really think that men shouldn't watch and enjoy animated or fairytale movies? That's an extremely sexist opinion, you know. Ignoring someone's arguments and claiming their opinion is invalid just because of their gender and race is exactly what certain groups are fighting against. When black kids immediately notice that a previously white character is suddenly black it's cute and heartwearming. When white kids immediately notice that a previously white character is suddenly black they are racist brats that need to be taken away from their racist parents. Claiming a previously white character is much better now because they've been turned into a PoC is fine. Complaining about a
Commissions - CLOSED
Since people keep contacting me. I'm sorry, but I'm busy with two major clients' projects and also need some time for my own ideas again. I'm very happy you all like my art so much and I have a hard time saying "No", so I was working on commissions almost nonstop for the last months and I need a break.
